HELA NATION OF HELADIVA

HELA principle of EQUITY

Hela principle of equity is about equal opportunity. This principle, however, does not confer equal outcomes. Hela principle of equity embodies fairness, equal access, compassion, responsibility and righteousness.

"Social justice is what faces you in the morning. It is awakening in a house with adequate water supply, cooking facilities and sanitation. It is the ability to nourish your children and send them to school where their education not only equips them for employment but reinforces their knowledge and understanding of their cultural inheritance. It is the prospect of genuine employment and good health: a life of choices and opportunity, free from discrimination". - Mick Dodson

The Hela Principle of Equity is about providing people with equal access to goods, services, education, jobs, the law and due process. It embodies civic rights and human rights. Equity means being treated the same as a person irrespective of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, socio-economic status or geographic location. The Hela principle of universal equity applies always to the individual.

A misconception about Equity

Equity, enshrined in law as civic rights and human rights apply only to the individual. The principle of equity, however, does not apply to a culture. What applies to a culture is the national right of sovereignty, and this right of sovereignty only applies in the land where the culture is indigenous (i.e the culture's land of evolution). In Heladiva, the indigenous Hela culture is sovereign and has the national right of sovereignty. The Hela culture is sovereign over all other cultures in Heladiva (as it is for the Swedish culture in Sweden, or the Japanese culture in Japan). Confusing this right of sovereignty (that applies to a culture in its indigenous environment) with the principle of equity (that applies to an individual) leads only to conflict.

The Hela Principle of Equity enshrines:

The Hela Principle of Equity is the key to peace and prosperity for all.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”  - Martin Luther King Jr.
