The idea started back in 2006 under the desk during one of my classes in high school. I started mapping out a lot of the character relationships, etc.
Nothing concrete happened other than the decision that I wanted to make a Fire Emblem game.
I put the idea on hold during my college years, and it wasn’t until 2012 where I revisited the idea.
I tried playing around with Nightmare Fire Emblem rom hacking and built Ch26: Binding Chains using this method. This took about a year to figure out.
A lot changed, but the big thing that stayed the same was Myles and Lael’s arc.
For the next couple years, I worked to refine the story and build using the old nightmare tools. Eventually, FEBuilderGBA came out and I immediately switched to using that method.

This patch requires a clean FE8 (U) ROM.
mGBA is recommended for emulation. Latest releases of VBA-M is known to run with bugs on ROM hacks.
