Leah is the Princess of Ametona, the only daughter of King Corwin and Queen Loretta, and heir to the throne. Sheltered by her parents during her upbringing, Leah spent much of her childhood reading literature, listening to fables, and learning swordplay from her father.
Although tensions between Ametona and neighboring Celyste had long existed, everything changed when Celyste launched an attack against her homeland. Forced to rise to the occasion as both a leader and protector of her people, Leah set out to investigate the origins of the conflict at Granrei. There, she learned of her father’s death and inherited his sacred sword, Majestra. It was also there that she encountered the Celystean messenger Faith and agreed to meet with Prince Joseph in hopes of negotiating an end to the war.
After triumphing over the White Lions and earning their support, Leah arrived at the negotiation site alongside Faith. There, Leah and Joseph uncovered the truth behind the conflict: a cult known as the Proclaimers had manipulated the war between Ametona and Celyste in order to obtain the five Sacred Instruments. Realizing the greater threat before them, Leah and Joseph formed an alliance to drive the Proclaimers from their nations.
Following the defeat of the Proclaimers and the restoration of peace, Leah returned to Ametona to learn from her mother about the kingdom’s historical ties to the cult and the significance of the Sacred Instruments in the fate of humanity.
Rather than dedicating herself solely to rebuilding relations between Ametona and Celyste, Leah spent the next five years researching the Sacred Instruments and investigating the Proclaimers’ true ambitions. When the White Lions and Prince Joseph eventually returned to Ametona while pursuing a new trail connected to the cult, Leah reunited with her former allies once again to help save the world — and to do so without sacrificing humanity in the process.
Leah is compassionate, idealistic, and deeply empathetic toward others, often seeking peaceful and humane solutions even during conflict. Although initially sheltered by her upbringing, the outbreak of war forces Leah to mature quickly into a capable leader. Her love of literature and fables gives her a reflective and thoughtful personality, though she can occasionally struggle under the weight of responsibility placed upon her. Despite her gentle nature, Leah possesses a quiet determination and competitive spirit, always striving to better herself while encouraging those around her to reach their own potential.
Part 1: Leah is recruited automatically at the start of the Prologue.
Part 2: After the war ends, Leah leaves the party and rejoins automatically in Chapter 20: Hearts of Gray.
Starting Class: Princess (Sword)
Promotion: Gallant (Sword / Light)
Promotion Note: Leah promotes automatically at the end of Chapter 25: Reflection.
Leah possesses some of the best growth rates in the game, with exceptional Speed, Dexterity, and Luck growths alongside respectable HP and Resistance. Her Defense growth is notably poor, while her Power growth can occasionally be inconsistent. Because of this stat spread, Leah naturally excels as an agile swordfighter capable of doubling most enemies and maintaining high avoid throughout the early game.
Leah is also one of the only unit capable of wielding the Rapier early on, making her especially effective against cavalry and armored enemies. Her personal weapon, Majestra, is one of the strongest weapons in the game — a powerful magic sword with high might, critical hit, and solid durability. Majestra gives Leah reliable ranged offense despite being sword-locked and allows her to consistently target either Defense or Resistance depending on the enemy.
Upon promoting to Gallant later in the story, Leah gains access to Light Magic, significantly improving her flexibility. Combined with Majestra, this allows her to seamlessly switch between physical and magical offense while continuing to capitalize on her outstanding Speed and accuracy.
Leah's biggest drawback is her availability. Although she is excellent during the opening chapters, she leaves the party after Chapter 10 and does not return until much later in the story. By then, many other sword units such as Myles, Saoirse, or Atticus may already be well established, making it more difficult for Leah to reclaim a permanent spot on the team. Additionally, Leah's 40% Power growth creates significant stat variance between playthroughs. Strong early Power level-ups can turn her into an exceptional combat unit, while poor ones may leave her struggling to keep pace offensively when looking at long-term performance.
Overall, Leah is an agile and dependable sword user who excels through speed, precision, and versatility rather than overwhelming physical strength. Her exceptional Speed, Dexterity, and Luck make her remarkably consistent throughout the game. However, because she permanently leaves for a large portion of the game and is no longer force deployed after her rejoin, players may choose to invest in alternative sword users instead. Those willing to reinvest in Leah are rewarded with a uniquely flexible unit whose powerful personal weapon and access to Light Magic allow her to threaten both physical and magical foes.
