-> Hibiki & Eloise - honestly no strong feelings between the two. These two are the oldest members of the current Council. When Eloise first joined she found Hibiki quite cute but nothing ever came of it but some passive flirting. Ever since then they have gotten along for the most part (other than Hibiki calling her a slut occasionally).
-> Hibiki + Raymond - Raymond does not like Hibiki. Mainly for his childish behavior + pranking/bullying. Raymond doesn’t think he is suited for being the Council leader. Hibiki, on the other hand, likes Raymond for the reason that he is easily irritable. He uses him as the punchline for his cruel behavior often.
-> Hibiki + Sun - odd relationship nobody in the Council really understands. They seem to be very friendly other than Hibiki occasionally calling her a crybaby. Some of the older members thought they were dating for a while, but Sun always denied that allegation. But her left eye is red, which is unusual. She always gets sensitive about the subject when it comes up and dismisses it. Since the Council members know she is lighthearted they have let it go. Hibiki is unusually nice to her.
-> Hibiki + Yrjö - Hibiki and Yrjö have been very close ever since Yrjö joined the Council. Hibiki is never mean to Yrjö. It’s very obvious to other members that those two have a thing for one another. They’ve never explicitly been asked about their potential relationship just because it’s very obvious to the others. Hibiki has given Yrjö access to a lot of places that only he can access as a token of his love. Hibiki isn’t very good at being serious when it comes to their relationship, but Yrjö is very patient with him.
-> Hibiki + Jaya - Jaya is like a mother for pretty much all of the Council members. She has become responsible for a lot of Hibiki’s jobs where she can be (because a lot of his jobs need certain things that only he can obtain). Jaya treats Hibiki as if he is her irresponsible son. Hibiki is surprisingly not too critical towards Jaya but that is only because he’s already on bad terms with her.
-> Hibiki + Taro - Kind of like Raymond, Hibiki likes Taro because they are very easy to irritate. Hibiki tends to ridicule Taro the most, but simultaneously flirts with them. Taro hates Hibiki a lot, always snapping back at Hibiki with other insults. They’ve never gotten along for the 19 years they’ve known one another. (I would say their relationship is the second most complicated other than Jökull and Santiago)
-> Hibiki + Sophia - Sophia is the most violent towards Hibiki when it comes to his attitude. Like Raymond and Taro, Hibiki enjoys making fun of her quite harshly. She always tries to physically harm him whenever she can. Due to his ability to teleport, she has found that very difficult to achieve. Sophia is the newest member, and she has been told by other members that “she’ll get used to it.” She refuses to believe so and hopes to get Hibiki booted off the Council.
-> Hibiki + Santiago - Hibiki and Santiago don’t interact much. If they do, Hibiki tends to insult Santiago lightly instead of his typical harsh manner. Santiago feels very nervous around Hibiki since he has a very bold personality. He tries to avoid interacting with him as much as possible. Sometimes Hibiki needs to check his documents though, which is really the only time they work together other than Council meetings or new orders.
-> Hibiki + Jökull - These two are very competitive. They both try to be the loudest voice of the Council which causes a lot of tense interactions. Hibiki does his typical ridiculing with Jökull, but he always seems to have the right reactions back. Jökull is the only Council member that is able to make Hibiki visibly mad. For this reason, Hibiki does not prefer to talk with Jökull when other members are around.
-> Eloise + Raymond - No strong connection between them. Eloise likes to chat with Sophia, so she ends up talking with Raymond a lot of the time too. She thinks he is quite cool and admires his confidence. Raymond has no bad feelings towards Eloise, but he thinks that she is a little too formal. This causes him to struggle when he interacts with her.
-> Eloise + Sun - These two are best friends. They mainly bond over all things girly. Poofy dresses, hair styling, makeup, etc. They like to make gifts for each other in their free time. Eloise also likes to throw a weekly tea party with Sun as they chat over their weekly Council business (they also invite Jaya). Sun looks up to Eloise’s beauty. These two are just two pretty best friends.
-> Eloise + Yrjö - Eloise tends to get stressed a lot, so she’ll go talk to Yrjö about it. She is a big over thinker and sometimes chatting with Yrjö can help unjumble her thoughts. She used to ask him how to get pretty curls like he has before realizing her hair can’t hold a curl. Eloise enjoys Yrjö’s company. Yrjö doesn’t mind Eloise at all and loves seeing her stop by.
-> Eloise + Jaya - Eloise looks up to Jaya. She sees her as a charming woman who has all of her afterlife together. She appreciates her ability to be professional all of the time. Even when they are having tea or chatting in the halls she has a mystical sense of wisdom. She also likes her taste in fashion. Jaya enjoys Eloise’s company and talks with her the most. Jaya is very introverted despite her command on the Council, so she doesn’t talk with the other members that often. Whenever she sees Eloise stop by to talk with her or invite her to weekly tea she gets very excited (which she hides on the outside).
-> Eloise + Taro - At first, Taro didn’t like Eloise. They thought she was too nosy and naïve. In reality, she was just trying to make a good first impression and failing miserably. For a while they stopped interacting with one another. Yrjö one day asked Taro about it, and was able to mediate between the two to get them talking again. Over time Taro realized they had the wrong impression and actually got along with Eloise very well. Eloise was very envious of Taro when they first met and tried too hard to be their friend, which is what caused their bad first encounters. Ever since they’ve gotten along. They like to talk about fashion (Eloise likes making them cool outfits too!), painting nails with Sophia, braiding each other’s hair (w/ Sun and Sophia as well), chatting, and doing each other's makeup.
-> Eloise + Sophia - Sophia took a second to warm up to Eloise, but they realized they had a lot in common and now chit chat often. Eloise especially loves when Sophia takes the time to do her nails. At first, Eloise was skeptical about trying out long nails- but ended up loving them! Sophia admires Eloise’s ability to sew, and she likes to request big fluffy dresses. While big fluffy dresses aren’t necessarily Sophia’s style, she thinks Eloise does a good job making them to fit her aesthetic.
-> Eloise + Santiago - Considering they’ve known each other for 64 years, they have a very casual relationship. Like most Council members, Eloise doesn’t really understand how to interact with Santiago well since he is nonverbal and very introverted. Over the years though they have developed a casual way of interacting. Eloise cares a lot for Santiago since she feels his responsibilities are overlooked and considered “simple” when they aren’t. She likes to take the time to check in with him or try to have some sort of conversation (though a lot of times it just ends awkwardly). Santiago greatly appreciates this despite his monotone reaction to her visits. Eloise also finds Santiago charming for his sense of style and classiness.
-> Eloise + Jökull - Eloise used to have a little bit of a crush on Jökull. She envies his ability to encapsulate audiences with his speaking. She also considers him quite the gentleman. Her crush never 100% faded- but she cares more about other things. She has a hard time interacting with him without stuttering or making a fool of herself because she tries to act cool but fails. Jökull is a bit oblivious to her envy of him. He sees her fumbled interactions as funny (in a cute way). His perception of her is that she is just awkward, which isn’t wrong.
> Raymond + Sun - They don’t have any bad relations but they don’t interact much. They talk occasionally but really only when they are interacting within a group. They have mutual respect for one another. But, Raymond tends to treat her like she’s a young kid due to her sensitive emotions.
-> Raymond + Yrjö - Raymond wants to like Yrjö, but he has a weird feeling about him since he is so close with Hibiki. He feels that maybe Hibiki has brainwashed him somehow, so he keeps a close eye on Yrjö. Other than that their interactions are pretty normal. Yrjö has a positive attitude toward Raymond, seeing him as cool.
-> Raymond + Jaya - These two have a mutual respect for one another. They see each other as responsible and well mannered. They also are both very insightful during Council meetings and typically build off of each other.
-> Raymond + Taro - These two are good friends. They have fun goofing off with one another. They originally bonded over their hatred of Hibiki, but they have very similar personalities so they ended up getting along really well. Raymond, Taro, and Sophia make up a friendship trio of chaos. They’re all a bit rebellious in personality, but they don’t really act on it. They all take their jobs very seriously but can’t help but goof off occasionally. Taro is glad to have Raymond as a friend- mainly because Taro thinks he’s super cool. They also didn’t know many likeminded people when they were alive so they feel relieved knowing they have someone to rely on. Raymond also thinks Taro is super cool- he loves their self confidence and is even a bit envious of it. Both of them also have very soft sides to them that peak through occasionally.
-> Raymond + Sophia - The ultimate besties of the afterlife. These two would be too powerful if they knew each other while alive. They feed off of each other’s energy. I honestly don’t even know how to explain more than that. Raymond is the softer one out of the two, often comforted by Sophia. Sophia does have a soft side- but she’s known not to show it. Only around Raymond will it sometimes crack. These two are basically bonded by the hip and you’ll almost never see one without the other.
-> Raymond + Santiago - Raymond feels weirdly drawn to Santiago, almost as if he was a brother to him. He makes sure to try and include him whenever he can; he checks on him frequently as well. He is also super protective of him. Raymond tries to engage in his writing but Santiago is often shy about it and won’t let him read it. Santiago feels a little intimidated by Raymond since he is a loud personality. Raymond realizes this and tries to tone it down around him but still comes off strong a lot of the time. Their relationship is there but is often a little awkward. It’s the thought that counts.
-> Raymond + Jökull - Raymond sees Jökull as a loud and obnoxious egotistical bitch. Jökull sees Raymond as a loud obnoxious hypocrite. Need I say more? They don’t like one another really at all.
-> Sun + Yrjö - These two do a lot of their work together and love to interact. They’re pretty similar in personality which makes them pretty compatible as friends (laid back kind souls). They also like to gossip with one another about Council affairs. While they don’t necessarily go about seeking out one another to talk to, they typically have overlapping work which is when they get a lot of their talking in.
-> Sun + Jaya - Mentioned earlier, Sun, Jaya, and Eloise make up a little friendship trio of their own. Sun looks up to Jaya like a mother. She seeks out her wisdom when she isn’t sure what to do. Jaya reciprocates these feelings, as she sees Sun kind of like a daughter. Her bright spirit reminds her of one of her real children. Their relationship is almost therapeutic to Jaya. She feels at peace around Sun. The feeling between the two is mutual.
-> Sun + Taro - Sun envies Taro a lot. Her relationship with Taro mimics Eloise’s relationship with Jökull. The main difference is Taro sees Suns envy and likes to interact with her because they find her personality endearing. They mainly bond over pop culture such as music and fashion. Taro sees Sun much like a younger sister. They really enjoy hanging out with her when the opportunity arises.
-> Sun + Sophia - Sun envies a lot of Council members as you’ll see- Sophia is not an exception. She thinks Sophia is really pretty and often asks her about her hair- saying “if I had long black hair like yours I would want it to look all pretty like that.” Sophia thinks Sun is cute and likes to talk with her. She finds it weird that one of her eyes is red + the fact that her relationship with Hibiki is shockingly okay, but she tries not to hyper-investigate it that much. Sophia kind of treats her like a young kid- not on purpose but because that's what she reminds her of.
-> Sun + Santiago - No strong relationships here other than Sun liking to talk with Santiago sometimes. She feels awkward about it but also wants to include him in conversation. A lot of times she just gets a blank stare or a shrug. Sometimes she feels like he doesn’t like her but it’s quite the opposite. Santiago finds interest in her bubbly personality.
-> Sun + Jökull - Sun thinks he looks cool, but she feels like he has a big ego. Jökull thinks Sun is too childish to be a good Council member (kind of like Hibiki) even though her maturity is 100% better than Hibiki’s. They don’t talk a lot.
> Yrjö + Jaya - They like each other’s chill vibe. Jaya often goes to Yrjö for advice, as she feels he is the most down to earth Council member who can give reasonable answers to her problems. Yrjö likes Jaya for almost the same reason- her relaxed demeanor. They’re very similar in a lot of ways which makes them good coworkers.
-> Yrjö + Taro - Taro would jump off a cliff for Yrjö. But unfortunately Yrjö is dating Taro’s biggest enemy (hibiki). Do I need to say more? (As far as how Yrjö feels about Taro– He's completely fine with them. But his problem is that he feels that they're a little desperate for his attention (because they are...))
->Yrjö + Sophia - Like Raymond, Sophia wants to like Yrjö but feels weird about his whole Hibiki deal. She’s nice to him and stuff she just really doesn’t get why he likes him and supports him, especially since they’re total opposites. Yrjö is a little intimidated by Sophia but only because she’s a little violent sometimes. Other than that he’s totally fine with her.
-> Yrjö + Santiago - These two like each other a good bit. They occasionally drink coffee together in complete silence. Santiago feels very safe around Yrjö. Yrjö likes to read Santiago’s writing, which Santi is always very nervous about. He only lets him read so much of it- but he’ll leave little notes on parts he likes or thinks could use a little more work.
-> Yrjö + Jökull - Yrjö likes most Council members, but not Jökull. Jökull isn’t fond of Yrjö either. Yrjö is quite annoyed by his prestigious attitude. He thinks that he could be a bit less prissy. Jökull, on the other hand, doesn’t like Yrjö because 1) he is close with Hibiki 2) he thinks Yrjö is too gullible and doesn’t have the ability to make decisions without his “puppeteer” (hibiki). These two don’t interact much.
-> Jaya + Taro - Not many notable relations. These two respect one another but don’t talk much.
-> Jaya + Sophia - Jaya and Sophia like one another but don’t typically interact unless in a bigger group. They don’t have many similarities but admire one another for their differences. Jaya likes her outgoing personality and envies her beauty. Sophia sees her as an all-seeing-eye and a great leader.
-> Jaya + Santiago - Santiago likes Jaya because of her tone. She’s very soft and respectful towards him and it makes him feel safe, a lot like Yrjö. Jaya treats him as if he were her child, looking out for him without trying to involve herself too much. He reminds her of some of the children she would teach at school, quiet but brilliant. She loves to see him working on his writing constantly and admires his ability to keep at his passion even after death.
-> Jaya + Jökull - For a while, Jaya respected Jökull for his major efforts in the Council. Soon, she started to see him as a try hard (because he is). His competitive personality pissed Jaya off, she saw it as immature. Especially with his efforts to piss off Hibiki. Jökull likes Jaya because he can use her as an argument towards how irresponsible Hibiki is. He also likes Jaya because he considers her someone who will get stuff done. He is a little blind to her dislike of him, so he continues to work with her on things, which tends to annoy her.
> Taro + Sophia - Very good friends as mentioned in the part with Raymond and Taro. The three make up their own little chaos trio. Sophia and Taro get along well since they’re very similar. Sophia is a little bit more outgoing than Taro, but it is kind of like comparing her and Raymond. Taro feels like Sophia embraces them for who they are rather than trying to fit them into a label of “girly” or “masculine” like some Council members do unconsciously. These two also like to have a lot of childlike fun; racing each other down the halls in heels, braiding one another’s hair, gossiping about the other Council members and making up little theories, etc. They sometimes bother the other Council members with their loud personalities- but they don’t really care.
-> Taro + Santiago - Tends to check in with Santiago along with Raymond and Sophia, but don’t interact too much outside of that. They feel like Santiago likes to be left alone so they try to respect his space. They admire his work ethic a lot, seeing as they can’t focus that well. Santiago thinks Taro is cool but feels too nervous to interact with them.
-> Taro + Jökull - While Taro finds Jökull more trustworthy than Hibiki, they find something strange about him. They can’t quite put their finger on it- but Jökull gives them an off vibe. They don’t really talk with him often because of this. Jökull is fine with Taro but doesn’t really care for them.
-> Sophia + Santiago - Sophia likes to make sure Santi is still “alive” by checking in on him with Raymond. Sophia shares a lot of the same feelings about Santiago as Raymond. She feels he is under-appreciated within the Council and that people tend to steer away from him because they don’t know how to interact with him. Sophia likes to annoy him in a playful way, kind of as if he was her brother. Sophia has a lot of siblings so she knows her ways with sibling relationships. Santiago is a little bit nervous around her but appreciates her nonetheless.
-> Sophia + Jökull - Hates him. Hates her.
-> Santiago + Jökull - These two probably have the most complicated relationship within the Council. Some may see it as toxic– others may see it as trying their best. Jökull has a major ego and doesn’t see anyone on the same level as him– except Santiago. Santiago isn’t really sure what gave him this title, but it comes with its pros and cons. Jökull shows his full range of emotions with Santiago, which are all super extreme. But Santiago has mastered the art of being able to calm him down to some manageable amount. Most members don’t realize how close these two are, but they’re undoubtedly a strange pair.
