Pecan/walnut coffee table

This project was inspired by a friend of mine who has also made natural edge table tops. Mine differs in that I did not use any poured epoxy finish. I also like to keep the natural bark on the slab.

The table has pecan and walnut wood for the top and walnut for the legs. The pecan wood was harvested from my property. The walnut center was added to give the table more width and give some contrast.

The legs are made of walnut using a box joint to connect the pieces. None of the wood has any stain, so all of the natural colors can be seen. The finish is a water-based polyurethane.
