Oven rack tool

Pulling a hot oven rack out can be a challenge. To avoid burnt fingers and other body parts, I made an old wood-shop stand by, an oven rack tool. Over the years and after several moves, I lost the one I had made many years ago. The oven rack tool was a project used to teach band-saw or scroll-saw skills to beginning wood-workers.

I made this one out of some cherry scraps that I had in my scrap wood bin. I made a small/shallow hole on one side so that I could glue in a round magnet. This allows me to store the oven rack tool out of the way on a nearby metal surface.
