NOVA PARKS installed a large cistern to catch storm water runoff from the newly expanded parking lot in the upper park. However, there is still considerable runoff. Cistern is located to the SW of study point 4 under new parking lot. Outflow point is at study point 4.

NOVA PARKS is renovating the playground in the lower park (north central on map) by cutting down trees and leveling the ground. During rain storms this spring and summer, considerable sediment laden water flowed from the upper and lower park construction sites into the RPA and Reeves Run (NE quarter of map), which flows in to Four Mile Run at Bluemont Park to the east and then into the Bay.
