NOVA Parks could have constructed a playground making use of the existing mature trees and lay of the land. Instead they leveled the area and ripped out the three nice maples in the lower park in the center of the playground.

Maples were 30-40 years old. Come back in 2060 for whatever trees are replanted in the area.
