Here is a link to my powerpoint presentation that I showed to my peers.
As well as my video presentation
I have chosen to do this project because I find what we have chosen is a major challenge, as there are many elements to this project. This includes making an EP for four of our songs and then making a music video for two of them then finally distributing these songs onto platforms and a wider audience. The aim ultimately is to create a wider fanbase and grow in popularity so we can perform in large venues.
This project will teach and expand our skills and knowledge. This will include creating and releasing music in a professional standard, as well as for me using and working equipment to create 2 music videos will be a challenge. But to be prepared and organized, I will research what cameras are best as well as lighting and angles.
Doing these projects for my FMP will help me move toward my career goal, because we are going to be releasing music to a professional standard and working in a recording studio, giving myself and the rest of the group the ability to collaborate will other people and expand a wide network of people to work with.
The breakdown of what I am doing for my FMP, includes myself and my band want to release an EP and we have chosen four of our best songs that we would like to release. After we have successfully recorded these four songs to a professional standard and we are happy with the final track we then want to film two music videos for two of our songs, this will be a new process, as we all don't have much experience with video making. Therefore in preparation me and Fin will be listening to podcasts and watching videos for guidance. Then finally distribution and spreading our music to consumers as well as BBC Introduing. Izzy and Josh will take the lead with getting our music on social media, as we already have a social media page and have already been posting our originals already, so its important that we take this a step above and reahcing out to other branches and social media platforms and bulding that fanbase with posters and larger venues. This is an exciting project that we are doing as well as being a major challenge, but we are all proactive and determinf hat we will make the most of the recording sessions that we can get.
For our collaboration, we will be having help form Josh's broher called Harry, who is a really talented graphic design artists. He has agreed to create us a logo and cover art for our project. To help him with this we will send him themes and colour palettes to give him an idea of what we would like. Therefore this will be an process and expand our professionalism to put our logo on a buisness card or on logos to spread out to others. Additionally, Izzy knows a guy called Seth who is on the production course at the moment and he has agreed to help mix and master our tracks to a professional standard.
Strengths for my FMP proposal, we are expanding our skills for this project and branching out to work with other creative people in our work. We are including a lot of skills within this project that will stretch us to our abilities, as well as having help from our collaborations with the mixing and cover art. Our strengths, also include our team work and helping each other out with the different jobs we have assigned each other.
There are a couple of weaknesses or disadvantages that could come across with doing this project, but it is nothing we can not fix. First of all, there are a lot of projects that we need to cover, and all the elements and projects will take a lot of time to finish to a good level. But we are all really determine to achieve these goals, we would like to record 4 original songs, but if we start to run out of time then we will prioritise recoridng 2 original tracks and then just doig 1 msuic video. Additionally, if we do run out of time it is crucial that we get at least the drums and bass down for all the tracks and then we will be able to record the rest of the instruments anf vocals at Izzy's home set up.
I found the feedback from my peers and teacher was really helpful and it challenged me to answer certain questions about my band's FMP. The questions consisted of budgeting and the timeline throughout the project. I mentioned how I and Fin will be leading the music video section, so I was asked some questions about the preparation and I explained the process that we were going to undergo. We are luckily enough able to use the TV studios in College which will be highly beneficial for the videos.
For our project, there are going to be different areas of research. Starting with recording and releasing an EP.
I've found this link useful to help me and Fin film music videos.

These photos below consist of the timetable for myself and Fin with recording the music videos. This is mine and Fin's major role during our FMP, this is the breakdown of what we will be doing for each of the weeks to the lead up to the deadline. Researching for this project is a very large part, as its crucial to know what we want the ashots to look like.
Below shows us writing out our timeline as well as creating a final timeline for all of us, as we are working wiht other people it is important with give the an idea of when we would like things to be due.
