Diana's white lace Catherine Walker halter gown is an absolutely wonderful deal.
Not only is there a fabulous outfit in the white lace gown, it comes with an incredible suite of jewelry. There are 6 items included in the package: the gown, shoes, evening purse, two different bracelets, and earrings.
The gown itself is lined in silver lamé, which is inexplicably turned shiny side in, and has tiny iridescent seed pearls sewn on the front. There is a tiny "kick train" at the back. The purse is an exact replica of the one Diana herself carried when she wore this gown. My one and only criticism is for the cheesy, stiff feel to the gown. The silver lining is crunchy and the lace has a rough texture that belies its soft appearance. Including two different "sapphire" bracelets and a pair of whopping great "sapphire" earrings, the jewelry set is the among the best in the collection. This is just a brilliant buy altogether.
I hate the shoes, they're the typical FM plastic huge shoes, but hey, the rest of the deal outweighs them. And one could always replace them with custom S 'n' E Jimmy Choo replicas. At one time, it could be purchased dressed on a doll (as were the other outfits making up the first subscription of six in the collection.)
