The new gown was worn for a photo shoot which appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and several books, as well as popping up in candid shots from a friend's wedding. Lovely, sexy, intricate and form-fitting, but my sticker shock was lasting...and not at all assuaged by a feeling that we were left a little short in the goodies department, too. What? Just earrings and shoes for that price? Really?

The earrings are crystal bobbles hanging from gold hoops. The shoes are the same from the Princess of Grandeur (pale blue Jimmy Choos sling-backs), however decorated on the toes with a golden stamped-in cluster design.

And again, even more homework copying from doll custom designers. This gown is lovely, but has been recreated by several doll customizers; S 'n' E's version especially was miles better than this! Please visit this link for my Franklin Mint Wish List. I don't yet have the section done for this outfit, but there are other examples of brilliant non-FM work. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous, but not worth the issue price. Buy it secondary market. One will come when it's your time, be patient rather than financially silly.
