1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome preferred) and go to the FIU University Testing Center's online registration page.

2. Scroll down to section 1, "Choose a Group". Select "PERT Assessment: Remote" from the dropdown list

3. In section 2, "Choose a Group", select "PERT - Global First Year"

4. In section 3, "Choose an Exam", select "Reading and Writing"

5. In section 4, "Who is taking this exam?", fill in your personal information as it appears in the FIU system.

*NOTE: You MUST use your FIU university email address in order to be able to register. Using a personal email address will cause a registration error*

6. In section 5, "Exam guideline acknowledgement", read all of the exam guidelines and click the box to agree.

7. Insert your current phone number in section 6, "Needed information" and click the "Add to cart" button to complete registration.

*NOTE: Once you have successfully registered for the test, you will receive an email from the University Testing Center with specific instructions for how to take the PERT Reading and Writing Assessment. Please note that the test closes at 11:59pm EST every night and any tests in progress will close and not be allowed to continue. Make sure to complete any assessments before that time and plan appropriately.*
