Overview
The International Buddy Program is sponsored by the Global Learning Office in partnership with the Global First Year Program at FIU. The goal of this program is to connect international students in the Global First Year program to a domestic student buddy who can help them with their transition to the United States and to FIU. Domestic Buddies and International Buddies will both submit a brief application to be considered for the program. Applicants will then be invited to a Meet & Greet event where they can get to know each other and create the best possible buddy match. Buddies will have access to several fun large group events and activities throughout the semester and will also be encouraged to connect one on one at least once a month.
