There may be times in school when you feel that you need some advice or extra support with a problem you are having.
There are many different ways you can get some help and here are some of our suggestions.
Your Tutor, Learning Co-ordinator, or any member of staff you trust, will listen to you if you tell them you need to talk.
Peer Mentors are students of our school who have been specially trained to listen and help you. They really are very nice and sometimes talking to another person your age is better than trying to explain to an adult. If you would like to meet with a mentor you can ask your Tutor, Learning Co-ordinator, Mr Pinkney Deputy Headteacher, Jan School Counsellor or Mrs Bailey who will arrange an appointment on your behalf.
If you feel that your problems are a little more serious and none of the ways we’ve already mentioned are right for you, then you could make an appointment to see Jan. You can ask any member of staff to make an appointment or call into the drop-in session.
The Counselling room is next to room 45 and drop-in sessions are held on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday day 10.45 – 11am & 2:30 - 3:30. If you prefer and it is not urgent you can request a counselling appointment by emailing Jan on LTo@fbec.co.uk
If you need to speak with someone urgently you need to speak with your Tutor, Learning Coordinator, Parent/Carer or someone you trust.
