Introduction

Physical activity is touted for physical health and we always hear "there's tons of research on physical activity for mental health." What does the research actually say?  Given the prevalence of increasing mental health conditions across the US and the world, stakeholders need to be informed about mental health and what we can do in a very real way to help youth have the optimal health that they deserve.

The "Why"

In this video, Dr. Connie Johnson and Dr. Amy Miller discuss how they plan to use this program to support the mental health of the students they work with. Population Health models will play a big role here, as we seek to work within the RTI Tiered model to impact the most students possible.

The "What"

In this video, Dr. Connie Johnson and Dr. Amy Miller review the materials that are a part of this package. We did a lot of knowledge translation to create not only the program, but supporting materials so you can go straight to implementation.

Knowledge is power! In order to do this work, and work on the population level, you will need to educate staff. Use the infographics below in newsletters, emails or other communications. A power point pdf is also available for download as well if that is how you will share this information.  We ask that when using this program you cite where you got this information from and share back with us what you did and how it went, so we can refine these materials to help more kids!  Let us know how it is working out for you by completing this google form
