Assertive to Imperative

Rule — 1

Assertive Sentence কে Imperative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় কর্তা + সাহায্যকারী Verb তুলে দিতে হবে।

Structure

(Subject + Helping Verb) বাদে যা আছে তা হুবহু বসে।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : You should do the work.

Imperative : Do the work.

Assertive : You speak the truth.

Imperative : Speak the truth.

Assertive : You should obey your parents.

Imperative : Obey your parents.

Assertive : You should respect your teachers.

Imperative : Respect your teachers.

Assertive : You should take care of your health.

Imperative : Take care of your health.

Assertive : You should oil your own machine.

Imperative : Oil your own machine.

Assertive : You go home.

Imperative : Go home.

Assertive : You read the book.

Imperative : Please, read the book.

or, Imperative : Read the book, please.

Note : শিষ্টতা বা ভদ্রতা বুঝাতে Imperative Sentence এর প্রথমে বা শেষে Please বা Kindly বসে।

Rule — 2

Assertive Sentence টি না—বোধক হলে তা Imperative করার নিয়ম :

Structure

Do not / Don't + প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল Verb এর base form + উক্ত মূল Verb এর পরের অংশ।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : You should not waste your time.

Imperative : Don't waste your time.

Assertive : You do not go out.

Imperative : Don't go out.

Assertive : You should not go out.

Imperative : Do not go out.

Assertive : You should not run in the sun.

Imperative : Don't run in the sun.

Assertive : You do not play cricket now.

Imperative : Don't play cricket not.

Assertive : You should not insult your parents.

Imperative : Don't insult your parents.

Rule — 3

Never যুক্ত Assertive Sentence কে Imperative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম :

Structure

Never + মূল Verb এর base form + Verb এর পরের অংশ।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : You should never tell lie.

Imperative : Never tell a lie.

Assertive : You shall never tell a lie.

Imperative : Never tell a lie.

Rule — 4

Assertive Sentence এর কর্তা যদি First Person বা Third Person হয় তবে তাকে Imperative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম :

Let + প্রদত্ত Subject এর Objective form + প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল Verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : He plays cricket.

Imperative : Let him play cricket.

Assertive : We should go out.

Imperative : Let us go out.

Assertive : He sings a song.

Imperative : Let him sing a song.

Assertive : We love the poor.

Imperative : Let us love the poor.

Rule — 5

Assertive Sentence এর কর্তা যদি First Person বা Third Person হয় এবং বাক্যটি যদি Negative form এ থাকে অর্থাৎ বাক্যে not থাকে তবে তাকে Imperative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম :

Structure

Let + প্রদত্ত Subject এর Objective form + not + প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল Verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : We do not hate the poor.

Imperative : Let us not hate the poor.

Assertive : He does not tell a lie.

Imperative : Let him not tell a lie.

'Let' — Verb এর Object যদি Noun হয় তবে not তার আগে (Noun এর আগে not) এবং যদি তা pronoun হয় তবে not তার পরে বসে।

উদাহরণ :

Assertive : Rahim does not tell a lie.

Imperative : Let not Rahim tell a lie.

Assertive : He does not play football.

Imperative : Let him not play football.
