Kitchen Under $45,000

This kitchen had ample space, plenty of room for counter space and great natural lighting, but it was time for an update. The homeowner’s goal for the project was to modernize the space and replace the flooring with something durable and easy-to-maintain. A waterproof, scratch-resistant laminate proved to be the right fit. The cabinets were replaced and upgraded to a flat slab door style painted with a dark grey finish. Additional cabinets and shelves were added near the pantry for extra storage of small appliances. The refrigerator was moved slightly to accommodate more cabinetry for a coffee bar, and the range was moved to the center of the kitchen with a new range hood installed above. The renovation was topped off by a beautiful quartz countertop and matching 6-inch slab backsplash, which was also used for the new windowsills.
