Kitchen Over $140,001

A family of four was desperate to renovate their impossible, dark, closed-in kitchen. The entry of the home was jumbled and awkward, with an overflowing coat closet. Heavy brick inlaid on the walls and passageways at the fireplace surround congested the area. Lacking storage, flow and space for meal prep and family dining, this kitchen was busting at the seams.

Design began in March of 2020, but was halted for roughly two years due to the challenges and interruption of the pandemic. After several other unforeseen challenges, the project was finally completed in August 2022,  resulting in a stunning kitchen and great room concept filled with sunlight, enjoyable and functional for the entire family. Guests are now welcomed with plenty of natural light and coats hidden behind a barn door. Once confusing, rooms now merge with an open concept.

Among the additions was a stunning red island large enough for simultaneous meal prep, homework, and dining. A coffee bar, wine cooler, pantry cabinet and commercial-style broiler were also added. Every small appliance is now within easy reach, including a vacuum sealer concealed inside its own drawer. This is a renovation the family will enjoy for a lifetime.
