Pupil : Okay Madam. How many bones are there in a human skeleton?
Teacher : 206 bones. Do you know how they are classified? (Looks at the pupil)
Pupil : 2 types madam
Teacher : Yes, it is divided into 2 types. (The teacher’s little bit louder) They are Axial skeleton and Appendicular skeleton. (The teacher stress’s his voice and says) The axial skeleton is again sub divided into 3 types. They are (The teacher counts by her fingers) 1.Skull, 2.Vertibral column and 3.Ribs and Sternum. (The teacher raises his voice) Then the Appendicular skeleton is again divided into two types, they are, the Pectoral Girdle and Bones of the fore Limbs and the Pelvic Girdle and the Bones of hind Limbs. (Teacher shows the classification chart and explains)
Pupil : (All are attentive and curious to know more about the skeleton system)
Teacher : The Axial skeletol bones are 80 in number and appendicular skeletal bones are 126 in number. Then what is the total number of bones? (The teacher moves in the class, while asking the question she nods his head)
Pupil : 206 bones, Madam
Teacher : Yes, You are right.
