Teacher : Today, I am going to tell an interesting story.
Pupil : What is it about madam?
Teacher : It is about a Monkey and a Crocodile
Pupil : We are all interested to hear madam
Teacher : On the bank of a river there was a Naval tree. On the tree lived a Monkey. It ate fruits of the naval tree and lived happily. In the river lived a Crocodile. The monkey was kind hearted. It daily gave fruits to the crocodile. By this they became good friends.
The crocodile carried some fruits to its wife one day. The crocodile’s wife was very greedy and cunning in nature. It ate the fruits and said to the crocodile, “If the fruit itself tastes so good, then how good will be the heart of the monkey, who eats this daily? I am very eager to eat the heart of the monkey. So, you plan for it”. The crocodile was shocked, but at last it accepted and made a plan to cheat the monkey.
So it went to the monkey, and said that, “My wife was very happy by eating the fruits and she is very eager to see you. So you must come to my home”. The monkey felt very happy and it accepted the crocodile’s invite. The crocodile asked the monkey to sit on its back. While travelling in the river, the crocodile told the truth to the monkey. The monkey was shocked but it didn’t show it so the crocodile. The monkey said, “Oh, was this your plan? If you would have informed me, I would have bought my heart with me. See, now I kept my heart in the tree.” Hearing this, the crocodile felt unhappy. So they planned to return to the tree to get the monkey’s heart. As they came near the tree, the monkey jumped off the crocodile and climbed the tree, and said to the crocodile, “Hey fool, how can anybody live without their heart? Thank God, I escaped from you by using my cleverness. You are not my friend.” The crocodile felt very sad and ashamed.
