Overview

Ms. M. Vijayalakshmi holds the Degrees M.Sc. (Life Sciences). M.Phil. (Life Sciences), M.Ed., M.Phil. (Edn), PGDBI, and M.Sc. (App. Psy). She is working as an Assistant Professor (Temporary) in the School of Education, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, from November 2021 onwards. She has more than eight years of teaching experience in various organizations. She had worked as a Lecturer in Dr. N.G.P. Teacher Training Institute; Assistant Professor in Dr. N.G.P. College of Education & Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education (Autonomous) and Guest Lecturer in Government College of Education for Women, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Her main areas of specialization are Sericulture, Bioinformatics, Teacher Education, Psychology and Environmental Education. She had successfully completed more than ten Massive Open Online Courses on different platforms such as SWAYAM, WHO, Commonwealth of Learning, Researchers Academy, etc. She has published twenty-five articles in various educational journals. She has presented a paper at 30 International and National conferences and seminars held in various institutions. She has acted as a resource person for giving training on Creation and posting in Blog. She has also expertise in Learning Management Tools, Web Tools for Education, Free Open-Source Software, Online Assessment Tools, Mobile Apps for Education and Open Educational Resources.
