Planning Maps

This map includes layers useful for the Eaton Planning Board and the Eaton Selectboard in determining compliance with zoning ordinances, site plan review, and subdivision regulations.  From the 'Land' category this includes soil types, slope, and two-foot topographic contours.  All sections of the 'Water' category are included so that boards can see locations of known wetlands, flood zones, and groundwater.  Locations of the Village, Residential, Commercial/Industrial districts are shown as well as the Ridgeline Protection overlay district.

The Wetlands Zoning Ordinance was amended in 2026 to include protections within a 100-foot buffer zone around perennial streams and most wetlands. The map below shows the buffer zone in pink.
