Week 6-DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CLASSROOM

 I have applied (Eady & Lockyer, 2013) approach for evaluating digital technologies for the online quiz site Kahoot!. Following the assessing framework, the resource is age appropriate and is a very user friendly for both teacher and student, Kahoot meshes well within the curriculum as it allows for formative assessment and interactive learning which enables increased student engagement and allows for greater instructional content from teachers. The assessment tool from (Eady & Lockyer, 2013) has really highligthed the benifts of this digital technology for assesment and learning and I look forward to using this resource within my own teaching in the future.

The resources and apps that I have used all allow for collaboration for students that facilitate learning such as digital Technolgies should be used to allow students to effectively collaborate and learn within interactive online spaces (Eady & Lockyer, 2013).Google Docs and slides ,Kinovea, Canva and adobe are all apps that  promote student centered learning and  are also effective as they enables teachers to set up creative and interactive lessons that are multimodal and creative for students (Ibieta, et.al, 2017)  specifically For physical education I have added the coaches' eye digital app tutorial  sport specific and physical education interactive tool  and a great resource to integrate technology within my KLA, the app  allows high definition recording and instant replay and video manipulation which can be used to asses biomechanics and muscle and joint movements, (Marttinen et, al.2019) reinforces how digital technologies can be integrated within physical education and I feel these apps allow for improved learning outcomes for students.

ETHICAL AND LEGAL ISSUES FOR CLASSROOM DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES 

Teachers should encourage a healthy balance using digital technologies  provide guidance on responsible technology use and prevent potential overuse of digital technologies. Another ethical issue when using increased amounts of digital technologies would be the increase in the risk of cyber bullying and harassment, which has legal effects  as teachers have a duty of care for the health  and safety of students and  schools can be held legally responsible for providing a safe online environment for students.  The teachers should also use a school account to avoid personal details of children to be leaked online
