Throughout this Eportfolio I have went over a whole range of ways digital technologies could be incorporated within the classroom. (Sanders & George 2017) reinforces the dynamic nature of education and digital technologies as these tools can allow teachers create unique learning Opportunities for teachers to incorporate into their classroom. Digital technology also gives students access to a wide array of information, resources and interactive learning experiences that can greatly enhance students' learning opportunities. I feel as though the technologies and strategies that we have gone over within this Eportfolio are a great way to incorporate digital technologies within the classroom but as their is more digital technologies within schools now their ever before, these technologies can only be incorporated into classrooms with adequate training of teachers to use these tools effectively (Phillips, 2015). The use of multimodal technology should be used by teachers that are equipped to use them, (Romrell, et al.2014) conveys how schools need to ensure that all teachers are open and willing to incorporate technologies and strengthen how important digital technology skills are to get the most out of my Lessons, while also improving my level of instructional processes to students to enable effective learning (Sanders & George 2017).
(Drajati, et al 2018.) supports the idea of additional teacher training to ensure that schools are not just giving teachers new technology without any plan to utilise it, but to build teacher confidence and skills using digital technologies to allow for the best engagement and academic success for students. Understanding the best strategies to educate teachers properly about using digital technologies is crucial so students are able to utilise unique multimodal technologies to require digital technologies (Drajati, et al 2018). Digital technology should be used to make students learning easy and more accessible, however even with the substantial benefits of using digital technologies within schools there are negatives that teachers need to be aware of such as cyberbullying and personal safety.(Romrell, et al.2014) . Digital technologies allow for great learning opportunities but student personal safety and creating a positive environment within the classroom is a big challenge within schools, (Lindh & Nolin,2016) supports how negative the effects of cyberbullying on students but also conveys how alot of teachers actually do not know how to respond or deal with cyberbullying as they are not familiar with new digital media apps and devices (Wilson,2016) with the right education and teacher and parent support. Teachers should incorporate digital Technologies in the classroom by using it as a tool to build teamwork and Communication between students through online collaborative projects, online discussions, and group activities creating a holistic and positive learning environment that is reinforced with the use of digital technologies (Timmis,et al. 2016). Digital technology tools can be easily used with tools like video calls, messaging apps, and shared documents for teachers and students to keep in touch professionally and technology can enable unique learning experiences within classrooms.
This subject and assessment have really highlighted to me the future of teaching and learning for students with the importance of accessibility and understanding he satire of situations all students As this digital technology, while reinforcing how dynamic and fragile the intent and digital Technlogies can be which is why teachers should be allowed.
APPLIED FEEDBACK FROM ASSESSMENT 2
I have applied the feedback received from assessment 2 as I have really tried to read my work over and Revise any mistakes that were spelling or grammar of this E portfolio as much as possible.
I also made sure that I used Hanging indents for my reference list and ensured I was using the correct APA referencing as much as I could.The feedback was applied from my reference list both in the Eportfolio and weekly readings in the cover sheet submissions.
Another piece of feedback I had was to really relate my E-portfolio to my readings and Key Learning area which i feel I have done a good job at Within this part of the assignment. I have added a few screenshots of my assessment 2 and 3 referencing list on the portfolio and weekly readings cover sheet as well.
