As I haven't had any classes or practical placements yet I have no experience incorporating digital technologies into the classroom it is hard for me to answer the question however within my Key learning are of PDHPE there is a range of new digital technologies to measure fitness levels such as heart rate, step count and calories burnt which teachers can utilize digital technologies within a physical education setting (Marttinen et, al.2019). I feel as though I would be within the substitution and Augmentation levels of the model as I would directly replace a lot of traditional fitness measures with technology such as Fitbits, GPS and heart rate monitors as they are easier to use while also being more effective and accurate (Marttinen et, al.2019). I would adjust my lesson plans to allow for collaboration between students using digital technologies as a whole class as this allows students to use unique tools for learning such as google sites and Kahoot quizzes where students can view videos and learning resources that present the content in a unique way while also allowing teachers unique ways to assess and manage students learning (Wilson, et al 2016).
.
Being a preservice teacher, I would be at the understanding and applying level of the bloom's digital taxonomy as I understand and know how to apply concepts through digital technologies for my own study, however I need to develop within the higher brackets as I gain experience using ICT to evaluate and information and create assessments and lessons for students. (Roblyer & Doering 2014) conveys the most effective ways to implement digital Technlogies through the use of computers and mobile devices but stresses the importance of teachers to build critical thinking skills through the higher end of the taxonomy where evaluating, creating and analyzing information that is presented in digital technologies. I would use digital technology in a range of ways for PDHPE in within the understanding bracket using digital flashcards, online Kahoot quizzes, interactive video resources to provide multimodal learning experiences perspectives surrounding physical education enhancing student motivation ad learning outcomes (Netolicka & Simonova 2017).
ETHICAL AND LEGAL ISSUES FOR WEEK 5
There are privacy and security concerns when teachers implement new digital technologies as many digital devices and apps can inadvertently collect and store student data. Ethical concerns may arise regarding the privacy and security of this data, especially if it contains personally identifiable information. Another ethical issues could be the disproportionate level of technology access between low socioeconomic and high SES schools and communities which can affect the Students from disadvantaged backgrounds may not have equal access to technology It's crucial to ensure that all students have equitable access to digital resources and support. The teachers should also use a school account to avoid personal details of children to be leaked online.
