This cartoon comic illustrates how a constructivist classroom would operate between teacher and students from the constructivist perspective, the teacher’s role is to engage in learning conversations instead of just giving out information for students to memorize which enables students to lead their own learning, (Bower, 2017).
In the comic it is evident how the teacher is not spoon-feeding information or having a lecture on information on the topic, the students are driving the lesson and asking for ways to search information. The students in the comic are up and engaged working collaboratively compared to sitting separately working on the topic individually memorizing notes from the teacher.
The comic's aim was to highlight the collaborative nature of the classroom and making a focus of students working together on the lesson topic as the constructivist approach focuses on students actively participating in and being aware of their cognitive development allowing students autonomy in the learning process through (Harasim, 2017).
