Dracovix all have statistics that affect how well they perform in battle and against any adversary they square up to. Some dracovix are born with bonus stats inherited from their parents. Different classes that dracovix take will give them a boost to certain stats.
There are two categories of stats in Dracovix ARPG: Core Stats, and Battle Stats.
A Dracovix will heavily depend on some stats over others based off the Class they choose to take. For example, Warriors will rely mainly on their STR, ATK, and DEF stats. Magi will specialize in their MEN, MAG, and RES, stats. Snipers and Rogues will use a more balanced array of AGI, MEN, HIT, EVA, and STR.
While weapons will directly correspond to the ATK and MAG stats, and armors will correspond to the DEF and RES stats, Accessories may offer a wide variety of bonuses to any stats.
Core Stats represent each dracovix's individual abilities, and these stats grow with their experience or training.
STR (Strength) // Represents raw physical power.
MEN (Mentality) // Represents mental fortitude for resisting spells and for casting Outer Magic and raw magical ability for casting Inner Magic.
AGI (Agility) // Represents speed and agility.
HP (Health Points) // Raw statistic for the dracovix's ability to take powerful hits and stay standing.
MP (Mana Points) // Raw statistic for the dracovix's magical energy reserves, which are used to perform both Inner and Outer Magic. Inner Magic normally has higher MP costs than Outer Magic.
Battle Stats are used when a dracovix goes on an Expedition, Duels, or Challenges another Dracovix.
ATK (Attack) = STR + Weapon Bonus
DEF (Defense) = STR + Armor Bonus
MAG (Magic) = MEN + Staff Bonus
RES (Resistance) = MEN + Armor Bonus
HIT (Hitrate) = AGI + MEN
EVA (Evasion) = AGI
ATK/DEF resolve physical attacks. ATK is your physical damage output. Melee fighters use ATK to deal physical damage. DEF is your ability to resist physical damage from both melee and ranged physical damage sources. When calculating physical damage, DEF is subtracted directly from the ATK stat at a flat rate.
MAG/RES resolve spell effects and damage. Spells by default do not directly cause damage by themselves, but employ the use of elemental damage types, such as burn damage, force damage, necrotic damage, etc. When calculating the success of a spell being cast and affecting a target, RES is the chance in percentage that the spell will fail to affect the target. When calculating the damage of a spell that deals elemental damage, MAG is the elemental damage output, and is not reduced by anything should it hit.
HIT/EVA resolves whether you hit your target or dodge an attack. HIT is used by all ranged attackers in order to hit their targets. Ranged attackers usually rely heavily on their HIT stat over their raw ATK stat, as the ammo is designed to do most of the damage as long as it finds its mark. EVA is used to dodge ranged attacks as well as magical elemental damage attacks.
Ability Points (Ap) are the numbers that go into the Core Stats in order to activate all the other stats.
All dracovix start out with 0 points in STR, MEN, and AGI, and 5 points each in HP and MP: When a dracovix gains Ap from ranking up and gaining a new title, these Ap are set aside as "Unassigned Ap" until the player assigns them to the dracovix's Core Stats.
Some dracovix are born with bonus stats inherited from their parent, which are added on top of their starting stats. For example a dracovix may be born with "+1 STR". This means that they start out with a STR stat of 1, a MEN and a AGI stat of 0, and HP and MP stats of 5.
Dracovix with 12 or more points in a stat have a chance of passing bonus stats to their offspring. The higher their stats over 12, the more likely their offspring will inherit bonus stats to the corresponding stat, and the more likely that their offspring will inherit higher stat bonuses.
Core Stats are raised by way of assigning Ability Points gained from Titles, but all Core Stats are capped at 20, and bonus stats at birth can't raise this stat cap higher.
If you have unassigned Ability Points, you can assign them over at #✨import-updates!
