There is one Trustee vacancy. Village Hall members are therefore invited to stand for election as a Trustee of the Downderry and Seaton Village Hall.
No individual may be appointed as a Trustee of the Village Hall:
If he or she is under the age of 16 years.
If he or she would automatically cease to hold office under the provisions of clause 15.1.16. ‘Is disqualified from acting as a Trustee by virtue of sections 178-180 of the Charities Act 2011 (or any statutory re-enactment or modification of the provision)’.
Downderry and Seaton Village Hall Trustees are responsible for the maintenance of the fabric, fixtures, equipment and fittings of the Village Hall by raising of funds by means from membership fees, hall and equipment hire charges, seeking grants and/or contributions towards capital projects. Trustees, when available, organise and run Fundraising Events and do other general duties to ensure the smooth running of the Village Hall.
