The term compliance has its origin in the notion of following social norms. It is synonymous with the terms conformity, obedience, and responsibility. It is also synonymous with following instructions, but that usage implies a lack of autonomy. In compliance, one seeks to meekly follow rules set by the collective group of which one is a member.

Since the outset of the economic crisis, U.S. law enforcement, along with every other agency, has stepped up its focus on making sure that those who are charged with crimes in this country are properly convicted and punished. This has meant a dramatic increase in the number of white collar and criminal prosecutions, as well as increasing the number of people who find themselves in prison for low-level offenses.
The few who have been able to meet the challenge have made far-reaching contributions to our knowledge and understanding of the complex issues confronting the airline industry. Some of them have also made significant contributions to the design of the aeronautics industry itself.
It was a slow process getting used to the idea. One that took some time to get used to. I wouldn’t say it was difficult, I would just say I came to the realization that I should have been a little more open to the idea, and to make room for other possibilities. After I finally got used to the idea, I could see why it was so beneficial and why it would work.
