When I was a kid, I wanted to be a writer. Specifically, I wanted to be a novelist. I wanted to spend my days inside a state of perpetual creativity, creating worlds and characters and stories that the world wouldn't ever be able to match. I wanted to be the next great American novelist.
I love writing. It’s one of my greatest passions. Writing allows me to express myself, think creatively, and connect with others. It’s also an important tool in my job as a teacher.

Writing is great. Okay, maybe that’s a little strong, but writing is still great. It can connect you to people across the world, express your thoughts, and turn ideas into words. It’s an incredibly useful skill that has helped me make new friends, express my thoughts, and get my ideas across.
