Character Creation Questions

How do I join this group?

Joining the group is super simple, all you have to do is join our Discord. If you want more information on how to create a character and join in on the roleplay, you can find that information here.

Do I have to use my own art for the application?

If you include character art with your application, it must be owned by you in some way. You can draw the art yourself, ask a friend to draw it for you, or get the art commissioned. Under no circumstances do we allow AI art.

If you are unable to get a drawing of your character there's no need to worry, we allow written descriptions on the app in place of art

How many characters can I play?

Everyone who joins the group is allowed to start with one Human/Digimon pair. As you participate in the group and gain points you'll eventually be allowed to earn a second and third character to play as. So far three characters is the maximum we're allowing in the group but that may change down the line.

Can my character be a sibling/best friend to one of the original digi-destined?

No. This is a different continuity from any of the previous Digimon shows, games etc. So there are no characters from those continuities. You can have older relatives that were once Digi-Destined themselves (as in 20+ years ago) but they must be random NPCs made by you and not taken from digimon media.

What age can my character be?

We would prefer that you stick to a teenaged age range (11-18) as that is the range of the majority of characters in this game. We will accept characters as young as 8 at an absolute youngest and 20 at the absolute oldest.

What type of digimon can I have? Are there any off limits digimon?

You can either make up a digimon from scratch or have an official digimon. Whatever you'd like. There are a few rules to digimon selection. Your digimon cannot be overpowered*, they have to have a full line (you can mix fanon and canon digimon), and they all need to fit into the standard digimon stages (Rookie, Champion etc.). Other than that, you're good.

NOTE: What I mean by overpowered is like... unfairly powerful. For example if a digimon's attacks are all 1 hit K.O. moves or if they have the ability to destroy digiworld with the blink of an eye... that kinda stuff would allow a member to take over and/or breeze through events. Which wouldn't be very fun for them or other players. So we prefer that the digimon not have OHKO attacks unless it's mega level and then only one as a finishing move. That way things are more balanced and playable ^_^

Can I have the same digimon as someone else in the group?

Currently no, sorry. The group is still fairly small so it would be better for everyone to have different digimon. If the group gets bigger I might consider changing this rule but for now no. You can't have the same digimon as someone else.

Can I have more than one digimon?

When you first join the group no, you can only have one digimon. However, you can unlock the ability to have more than one digimon when unlocking a second character, instead of creating a second Tamer/Digimon pair you can give your current character a second digimon.

RP and Server Questions

When can my digimon digivolve?

You can unlock the ability to digivolve your digimon to it's higher levels by collecting EXP and buying those levels as you progress through the game. More information on gaining Exp can be found here.

How do I get EXP points?

A full explanation of our EXP Points System can be found here.

Where do the tamers live? Does my tamer have to stay in the dorms at the organization?

There are dorms provided at the organization where the Tamers can live if you want, but they don't have to live there. If you want your tamer to live somewhere else and just come to digiworld for missions that's cool. It's a little more practical to live at the dorms and you get points for doing the room meme, but we're not going to hold it against you if you don't want to live there whatever floats your boat.

Is my character allowed to smoke/drink?

Characters are allowed to smoke and drink, though avoid creating character who do those things excessively. This is a sever with people from around the world, all with different laws and cultures around drinking, smoking etc. So we don't care if you create a character who drinks at an age younger than what some countries allow.

NPC Questions

Can I make NPC's and RP them?

Yes, NPCs help to flesh out a character's backstory and give them ties outside of the organisation so we're more than happy to see the NPCs you want to add. However, there are a few restrictions put in place for NPCs.
First, please only make NPCs that have a connection to your character or someone else's character (with their consent).
Second, while you're free to use NPCs for regular roleplay in the server, you can't use NPCs for Main event or Mini-Event roleplay unless given explicit permission by an admin.
Third, you can only receive points for work that features your main character/s. If you submit a piece of art that only relates to an NPC and has nothing to do with any of your characters, you won't get any points for it. (Note that your character doesn't have to be present in the piece but it does have to relate to their story.)

An extra rule when specifically referring to NPC digimon. While you're allowed to create NPC digimon that your character interacts with, whether that be as enemies, acquaintances or friends, remember that they are not your character's digimon and cannot be treated as such. They cannot stay with your at the organisation and your character cannot help them digivolve or use any special items like Modifier Cards or Digi-Mentals on them.

Can I make an NPC Tamer and Digimon pair?

Yes you can. More and more humans are falling into the digital world so there's plenty of Tamers around. Just keep in mind the rules around NPCs listed above.

Can my NPC digimon digivolve?

Yes, either by gaining strength and digivolving naturally, or in the case of having a Tamer, being able to digivolve with the help of a digivice. The only restriction for NPCs digivolving is that they cannot digivolve to a state higher than what you have unlocked for your main character. For example, if your main character only has champion unlocked, than any NPC digimon with a Tamer cannot digivolve past champion. This doesn't apply to NPC digimon without tamers, they can be whatever level you wish.

Can my NPC smoke/drink?

Just like characters, yes they are allowed to smoke and drink.
