//About//
[Personality]
Optimistic | Impulsive | Intuitive | Injudicious | Charismatic
The first impression most people get when meeting Lavi is that he is a very social person. He is incredibly friendly and often very flirty as well, he's quick to strike up conversations with people he doesn't know to become friends. He tries to get along with everyone he meets but at the same time wouldn't shy away from calling people out if he feels the need, he is confident in himself which is why he doesn't back away from confrontation when it's needed.
Lavi is an intelligent kid, not top of the class or anything but he does well, to say he's particularly smart though is another story, he is rather impulsive and doesn't tend to thinks things through all that well, if you asked him to jump off a bridge, he'd probably do it, his lack of fear or shame tend to do him less favours than the burden they are to his health, the amount of bones he's broken throughout his life is a testimony to that. However, he's learned to rely on his instincts and gut feeling, his intuition is impressive and has helped him in a lot of situations in the past.

Lavi's full name is Lavender Phillip Diego Carter-Alvarez, though he's used to shortening it on forms and when introducing himself to people.
Lavi’s had a fascination with space ever since he and his father went on their first solo camping trip and spent the whole night picking out constellations.
Lavender is a massive sweet-tooth, he loves all types of sweet things and especially enjoys trying foreign desserts.
Despite his love for sweets Lavi never seems to gain weight, this is probably due to his restlessness and need to be constantly active.
Lavi is a very ticklish person, it takes barely any effort to turn him into a giggling mess.
Lavi's favourite colour is, unsurprisingly, purple. However he refuses to eat purple fruits and vegetables, the reason behind this is known only to Lavi himself.
Lavi is short-sighted, he can't see things clearly unless they are close to him, for this reason he needs to wear glasses, though he usually goes with contact lenses.
Lavi is proudly bisexual.
If given the option to sleep in a 5-star hotel or out camping Lavi will almost always choose camping.
Lavi has a pet lace monitor lizard named Gonna, in truth, she’s a wild lizard but she likes to hang around Lavi’s backyard and doesn’t mind when he pets her while she sunbathes on hot days.

Lavi was born in Mendoza, Argentina, to Yadira Alvarez and Joseph Carter. When he was five his family moved to Australia. His father became a fire-fighter and his mother started her own bakery. When Lavi was seven, his father tragically died while protecting a young girl inside a burning building. His mother was left to support herself and her three children, including Lavi's older brother, Mateo, and his younger sister, Orianna.
Lavi's mother was a superhero in his eyes; she worked tirelessly at the cafe she owned to earn enough money to support her children but always made time for them, watching movies together and hanging out. Besides her, Lavi's older brother was also a big part of Lavi's life. Mateo cared for Lavi and his sister whenever their mother was busy, he was a few years older than Lavi was and loved to tell him stories of their father from before Lavi could remember. Lavi and his brother spent a lot of time together, the two of them were practically inseparable, the two of them and Lavi's best friend, Zak.
Lavi met Zak after transferring to a new primary school. The boy seemed so downtordden and didn't appear to have any friends, so Lavi chose to change that. It took a little bit of pestering, but soon the two boys became very close. Zak would follow Lavi around like a duckling, always willing to join in on whatever fun idea Lavi, as well as his brother, had. It honestly didn’t take long for Zak to integrate himself into the Alvarez family, Matéo practically considered him another younger brother and Zak got along well with Orianna. Zak's home life was a lot rougher than Lavi's, he had a family that didn't care for him and that broke his heart. When Zak finally opened up to Lavi and his mother he was welcomed into their family.
When Lavi was fourteen, Matéo left for university. He was originally going to start working as soon as he finished school so he could help his mother out financially, but she insisted that he followed his passion in architecture, so he did, leaving Lavi and Zak without their big brother. It wasn't that bad, the boys still had each other to spend time with, they were practically inseparable. Lavi and Zak both eventually started helping Yadira out around the cafe, they started out just serving customers but as Lavi grew older his mother taught him how to work the coffee machine and he soon became the unofficial barista. Unlike his brother, Lavi didn't really have a dream to follow, he was fascinated by space and by the strange myths and legends around the world but it wasn't something he planned to make a career out of. He did like to write short stories every now and again and did amuse the thought of one day publishing his work but that was the extent of his plans. For now though, he was just happy to help out his mum. It's been a little easier on her since the boys and Orianna started helping run the shop, their mother can actually take days off and leave the shop to them, it was great on her health.
Whenever he had time off Lavi loved to go out on hikes with Zak, who while still enjoying it wasn't nearly as fond of hiking as Lavi was. It was during his latest hike that he heard a rustling in the bushes nearby. Since it could have been a snake or some other potentially dangerous animal Zak first opted to avoid it. However, as it emerged from the bush, Lavi couldn't help but want to take a closer look. The creature was red, with a body that resembled the ball of a morningstar with a flame on top of it. Zak told Lavi not to go near it and Lavi probably should have listened, but he was intrigued by the creature, it was unlike anything Lavi had encountered before, he knew Australian animals could be weird but this was pushing it. As Lavi stepped closer the creature noticed him and seemed to smile, it jumped up at him and everything went crazy. Time seemed to stop for a second, Lavi could see the creature and Zak both in suspended animation, a split second later he was blinded by a bright white light and a voice telling him 'Digital Gate Open'.
The next thing Lavi knew he was falling and crashed into another person. When he opened his eyes again he was in a completely different environment, the plants were all much more vibrant but seemed off, they almost all looked fake, and some of the colours didn't seem natural either. He continued to look around until he noticed that there was a red monkey in front of him, and the girl he had just crashed into also had a weird creature with her. After freaking out for a split second the girl, along with the monkey, who introduced himself as Monomon, calmed Lavi down and explained what was happening, how he was a digidestined chosen to protect the digital world. Protect it from what? Lavi didn't know and neither did Monomon apparently. Monomon also explained, after being questioned on it, that the small creature Lavi had seen was Sunmon, his previous form. After learning that Lavi decided that he'd nickname Monomon Sun, as it was easier to say, the digimon didn't seem to mind it.
