An innovative and results-driven Library & Information Science Professional with over 13 years of extensive experience in managing library operations. Presently serving as a Librarian (Assistant Professor- AL 12) in the Knowledge Resource Centre of Prof. Sambhajirao Kadam College, Deur (Dist. Satara, Maharashtra) since August 2010.
Completed graduation from the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune in both branches- Economics and Library & Information Science and did M.Lib. & I.Sc. from Tilak Maharashtra University, Pune and M.Phil. (LIS) from YCMOU, Nashik. Currently, doing doctoral research in LIS at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (Maharashtra).
Having working experience with reputed research organizations such as Research & Development Establishment (Engineers), DRDO and Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune etc.
A life member of prominent professional organizations such as the Indian Library Association (ILA), Maharashtra University and College Librarians Association (MUCLA), Shivaji University College Librarians Association (SUCLA), LIS Academy, Bengaluru and Shivaji University Teacher's Association (SUTA) etc.
Participated in professional seminars and conferences in the field of LIS and contributed to a number of national and international research journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.
Initiated for designing and development of the projects: Shivaji University College Librarian's Directory and Online Union Catalogue of College Libraries in the Satara district.
Always focused on offering quality services to library patrons through innovative applications of ICT tools in libraries in order to meet the dynamic demands of users in a digital environment and having extensive working experience in setting up and management of different types of libraries.
Skills Set: Library Management, ICT Applications, Web Portal Design, Library Classification, Information Services, Applications of 5’S, Kaizen, and 6’Sigma in Libraries.
