To add more personalization, there are a few options on adding custom lineart to your import.
When customizing lineart, you do not have to match the original style exactly! Mainly, we ask that your custom lineart is lined and colored cleanly and visually clear; the import is supposed to serve as a reference! 'Sketchy' lines or patchy coloring may get you sent to design corrections to clean up your customizations.
Variations can be freely edited or drawn to be entirely custom! Each Variation has their own guide, please visit the Mutations page to see them!
Some small changes can be done without the need for an item. The nose shape, chin shape, eyes, expression, and face sail tips may be edited for free to give your dergons a distinct personality! These should not be a dramatic enough edit to resemble any variations or mutations.
Customization such as a natural Roman nose (as seen on horses) and other face shapes are allowed, but should stay subtle!
Additionally, dergons may show a layer of scaling, which may be as few as a scattering of lines to imply a scaly texture, or as extensive as the entire import being scaled. These scales may appear anywhere except thin skin like wing membranes and face sails!
Areas like the face, toes, and underbelly may have wider scutes. Scales should generally not be overbearing in size, roughly matching Scalemarks' size limits. Scales should be referenced from real life reptiles, and cannot be overly intricate shapes without the interaction of a Covering mutation!
There are several ways dergons can be additionally adorned! From simple jewelry to full flying gear, your import may reflect what your dergon wears in their day-to-day life.
When drawing accessories, you do not have to match the original style exactly! Mainly, we ask that your custom lineart is lined and colored cleanly and visually clear; the import is supposed to serve as a reference! 'Sketchy' lines or patchy coloring may get you sent to design corrections to clean up your customizations.
Some accessories may be provided by the group, and will not need an item to display on the import! Most obvious of these is the Pride Pack (bandana and flag) available.
Other holiday-themed accessories may be made available later!
While not directly editing the lineart, a Tailor's Kit can be used to add accessories to your dergon. One can cover approximately 20% of the import, and up to three can be stacked for more items/larger items. Some items which can be crafted come with accessories, which do not need a bolt of cloth to be applied to the import!
If your accessories cover 40% or more of your dergon when being put into design approvals, please provide a non-accessorized version for checking the design!
Surgical kits are used to add scars and remove limbs from your dergon. When using them, there are different guidelines for scars and limb removal.
For scars: One kit may affect up to 20% of the overall import; scars do not have to be centered in a single section. Scars can also cause carvings into the horns, or decorative scarification and simple piercings. Up to three can be stacked for heavier scarring or larger individual scars. Scarring should be fully healed and should not require a gore warning when uploading the import!
For amputations: One surgical kit can affect up to roughly 1/3 of a limb; for the leg, this means just above the ankle, while for a wing this means the first one or two wing fingers. One surgical kit can instead remove the head fins. Up to three can be stacked to remove an entire limb. A simple prosthetic can be added for free to support the dergon.
Portable Spas are used for general changes without adding or removing features. They can also be used to customize Body Type lineart!
One Portable Spa can affect up to 20% of the import, causing naturalistic changes to a dergon's face shape, wing shape, and foot shape. Changes such as editing a foot to more closely resemble an owl or hawk are fine, but the number of toes should stay the same. Face shapes should not be overly dramatic. Up to three Portable Spas can be stacked to edit more of the dergon; for instance, it would take two to edit the entire edge of the main wing.
Up to two additional Portable Spas can be stacked specifically to edit the body type of a dergon, regardless of coverage; A simple change such as a silhouette looking slightly thicker or thinner would take one, while adding or removing fat or muscle details on the entire lineart would take two!
