Scalemarks creates one of two type of marking- crescent- or v-shaped lines, following the flow of anatomy, or solid scale-shaped markings in patches over the dergon. Either of these may follow any of the optional Scale lineart layers (WIP). Hom form may show both of these, with an edge of color on the front or back of each marking. With either option, the ‘scales’ should be fairly small, but scales which touch the edge of the belly may lengthen into long rectangular scutes resembling the belly of a snake. In Hom form, the scale markings may also affect the color of markings layered below them, darkening or lightening them.
In Super form, Scalemarks can basically affect the ‘base’, making the entire design follow a scale ‘grid’, similar to how markings appear on real snakes and lizards. Each ‘scale’ functions like a pixel, colored almost completely by only one color, separating the design into small chunks of color.
