These requirements are not intended to lock activities behind a skill level. Rather, these are intended to both be sure admins can easily recognize dergon imports and world locations, and to encourage artists to relax and have fun, instead of stressing about meeting high level requirements.
For general Activity Submissions, the minimum is fullbody (~60% of the dergon) with color (or a monochrome rendering of markings) and at least a simple background. The dergon in the image should be around 250 x 250 pixels at minimum, for easy identification (this is bypassed if the entry is done in a pixel art style!)
Comics are allowed, and multiple panels may 'combine' to count for a roll which neither alone would count for. For instance, one closeup headshot (~20%) with no background visible may combine with a halfbody (~40%) with a simple background.
Similarly to Art requirements, the goal is to allow you to write a longer story about your dergons, without worrying about sticking to one fairly easy story beat. As long as the intended activity is depicted at some point, the rest of the writing may be general dergon nonsense!
For general Activity Submissions, the minimum is 400 words, with an additional 200 words per dergon being rolled for. (Others may make cameos with fewer words dedicated to their presence.) There should be enough mention of the dergons' surroundings that it's readily obvious which location they're in.
For longer works, the piece can be 'divided' for multiple rolls; for instance, an 800 word piece featuring only one dergon may be submitted for two rolls.
You're not limited to just art and writing! Creativity is encouraged, and activities featuring things like sculpture are absolutely rollable.
For sculpture, an activity roll should be recognizable as the dergon (whether through paint or digital coloring after taking a photograph), and a background can be your own photography, art, diorama, or other work to place your dergon in a location. Reusing a sculpture gets somewhat tricky; varying your angles and locations must be done in order to avoid spam. A sculpture isn't a one-way ticket to infinite entries; please expect to create a variety of works!
Animation works roughly the same as Art requirements, with a slightly lower percentage requirement; for Animation, 50% may be shown, and markings may be simplified. Simple animations like a blink do not count for these lowered requirements, but larger motions such as moving a wing, head, or leg do!
Multiple media on one post can be used in a variety of ways; combining multiple rolls into one link, or supplementing a less than minimum piece to claim rewards!
When combining multiple entire rolls into one post (usually in the form of an art upload and writing in the description, or more than one 'panel' of art), each individual roll must meet their usual requirements, but are otherwise treated the same as individual rolls. Please be sure to mention when submitting a roll which roll you're entering! (You can indicate Art, Literature, Panel 1, Panel 2, etc as needed!)
If combining multiple media into one roll, this can be done to make up for a missing part of one media; for example, if drawing an activity without a background, roughly 200 words may be added to combine into a rollable entry. This can usually be done in the case of headshots, which are not on their own rollable! Keep in mind, all combined media must deature the dergon in some way; you cannot draw an unrelated landscape and just write about the dergon in the description (although a full literature entry may be included on its own!)
Comics and multiple rolls are both allowed! With a couple of restrictions.
Multiple rolls on one image- such as multiple individual panels- are somewhat restricted to limit access to 'spam' art techniques (Not all multi panel entries are spam! However, it's been seen in multiple ARPGs.) Multiple panel entries with the same background or setting are limited to four in one upload! Different background panels are not limited in number, but we just ask that you be reasonable about it, and be sure that dergons are the minimum size within the image.
Comics are generally considered to take place in the same location with the same characters (minus entering or leaving the narrative), and thus do not have the 4 roll setting limit. To count as a comic, there should be some indication of overarching story, whether through locations, dialogue, or a short description of the scene accompanying it.
