For us , it's a tremendous & a very sad News at the same time.
JG Thirlwell aka FOETUS embodies through this project one of our favorites bands of all times so we were very impatient to listen to the successor of the last album of the project FOETUS "Soak" of 2013.
Now we learn that "Halt" will be the Final Album of JG Thirlwell for FOETUS & it's affecting to see this amazing entity disappear after 45 years of existence ! with the opus "Deaf" dating of 1981.
The album is nine years in the making and marks the close of the Foetus saga.
It is 58 minutes in length consists of eleven tracks. The album is available on double vinyl and CD.
This would mark the end of an adventure that began over 45 years ago with Australian James George Thirwell and has taken us on a wild ride, from industrial to symphonic: Foetus is preparing to release its "final album."
Thirwell is playing with our nerves by promising a "monumental and epic" album where, as usual, he plays all the instruments and sings.
The final lbum "Halt" is coming for december. (click on the photos to preorder it!)

The vinyl version comes with printed artwork on the inner sleeves and a 12" x 24" poster with an artwork printed on one side and the lyrics on the other.
Each record is pressed on different colored vinyl - record one is a red / black blend and record two is a gray / white blend. The album has download card packaged inside, which can be redeemed for a digital version of the album.
The CD is in a six panel digipack with a 24 page booklet with lyrics, sleeve notes and artwork.
Each format comes with different artwork, and each album is packaged with a new Foetus sticker.
We just have an excellent bunch of infos directly from Mr JG Thirlwell 's FB Official page cause he declared :
" There will be the Halt companion album in 2027, followed by the long -promised early singles anthology.
And I'm planning vinyl versions of Gash, Flow, Love and Hide.
If I get to play a chamber orchestra version of Foetus that will be an album too. " JG Thirlwell
So like a musical ouroboros, In one form or another, the project will continue to live in our minds and hearts...
