As usual Bapu and his band of marchers left Amod at 6 o'clock in the morning and reached Buva. Young residents of the village were eager to welcome Bapu in their midst but some seniors were apprehensive, they feared if they welcomed Gandhi into their village the government would be annoyed and would later on take revenge, but the young people prevailed and convinced the seniors that they had the privilege to become a village linked to the historic independence movement and become immortalised for participating in it, they would not let this opportunity go by even if that meant they had to suffer the consequences, the younger people prevailed. When informed of the difference of opinions in Buva Bapu had advised the youngsters to depend on the prudence of the elders and the elders not to curb the enthusiasm of the youth. The people of Buva gave a grand reception to Bapu and a large number of youth registered as volunteers whenever Bapu gave the call to action. After resting, Bapu and his band left Buva at 6 o'clock that evening.
Bapu reached Samni by 8 pm. At the meeting in Samni Bapu declared this subdivision had submitted forty-three resignations of Government employees to Bapu it was a matter of pride for the people of that subdivision.
