Congestion Causation Analysis

Objective

The 2016 Interstate Congestion Report made significant improvements in identifying the causes of congestion in Iowa. This process was semi-automated but had some limitations in the ability to associate congestion causes.

After automating the interstate congestion report measures (congested hours, delay, etc), we will then begin improving and automating the congestion causation analysis by allowing multiple causation's to be identified as well as improving the identification process to eliminate miscellaneous congestion.
