Clock Hours
Clock Hours
What are clock hours you ask? Clock hours are units of credit assigned to educators at professional development or training event. Clock hours are accrued by Washington State educators toward continuing education requirements. Most professional association conferences provide clock hours for participants.
What you need-
100 clock hours every 5 years- 15 must be approved STEM hours
1 college quarter credit equals 10 clock hoursÂ
A list of approved clock hour providers can be found here: https://www.k12.wa.us/educator-support/continuing-education-clock-hours/approved-providers. Clock hours cost a nominal amount.
Most districts will provide enough clock hours during your in-service days.
You need to send your clock hours to your human resources department in your district as well your Educational School District account which can be found here.
Many districts use PD Enroller for clock hour registration. PD Enroller has an automatic upload feature to your ESD account.
ALWAYS make sure you complete the professional development evaluation (or you won't be awarded your clock hours!!)
