A complete SLPPM will contain the following information:

A Planning Policy containing these elements:

• A Rationale Statement that relates back to the school's vision and values and states the planning policy's impacts on students
• A succinct Planning Policy Statement encompassing the principles of:

goals and priorities

scope/development

funding

standards/assessments/measures

management

responsibility

equity

• Definition of the Policy's Audience
• Authorship of the Policy
• Related Documents that inform the Policy (Studies, Data, Official Statements)
• Date of Ratification
• Date for Review

Supporting Procedural Documentation including, but not limited to:

• District and/or School Strategic Plan
• Library Media Center Strategic Plan
• Recommendations for Future Changes or Improvements
• Documentation of Developments/Renovations/Major Purchases over the Last 5 Years
