A complete SLPPM will contain the following information:

• A Rationale Statement that relates back to the school's vision and values and states the leadership policy's impacts on students

• A succinct Leadership Policy Statement encompassing the principles of:

goals and priorities

scope/development

standards/assessments/measures

management

responsibility

equity

• Definition of the Policy's Audience

• Authorship of the Policy

• Related Documents that inform the Policy (Studies, Data, Official Statements)

• Date of Ratification

• Date for Review

Supporting Procedural Documentation including, but not limited to:

• District Professional Development (PD) Policy

• Procedure for procuring PD funding

• Licensure/Certification PD Requirements

• Annual record of Professional Development Opportunities Taken

• Annual record of Professional Development Opportunities Given

• District & School Committees with Library Representation

• National & State School Librarian Organizations & Contacts

• BOCES Contacts

• State Library Contacts

• Community Action Committees
