Biography

Omprakash Rajak, India.

He was born in India, in 1997. He did his bachelor's degree in commerce in 2019, he always have interest in photography so he started pursuing photography after completion of his bachelor's degree and completed his diploma degree in photography and started working as a freelancer photographer.

Omprakash try to give social messages and try to show the layers of our society through his photographic documentation tool.

Artist Statement

My art practice is based on a community who works for their ends meet. They are mostly coming from rural areas to cities with a dream of better life and struggles with situations but in reality, most of them barely make ends meet. Most of them does not have roofs over their head and sleep at footpath, bus stop, under the bridges etc. 

As an Artist, I always observe closely at my surroundings and talk to them, try to understand their lifestyle, capture the moments and try to create a visual narrative which is a layer of our society. I am using photography as a tool to create visual dialogue.
