BYRON WINFIELD KEENER – Cool Byron Abstract Master

THE ARTIST: COOLBYRON is my art name Byron Keener international VISUAL ARTIST with over 40 years of experience in ART and DESIGN with several academic degrees and professional experience as an artist, designer and architect. 

He is an Award Winning designer but not so famous with over 200 FINALIST art competitions and public art projects. The comprehensive perspective from these design fields enables to development new and contemporary design strategies and compositions. 

The artworks range from abstracted integrated paintings, landscapes, mixed media integrations, mural developments, to environmental Macro Art. 

He has been involved in various projects from urban art, community art competitions, neon light installations, mixed media visual arts, Digital Art, gallery design, to macro environmental installations. 

He is a contemporary COLORIST. His work has been to explore the Nature of Colorism and Abstracted Expressionism to discover new directions and applications. He is an Abstract Art Master. He has art and design studios in San Diego, Guanajuato, Puerto Vallarta and Tucson.

Artist Statement

THE CONCEPT: the concept is developed from ART AND TECHNOLOGY OF DESIGN. The idea is developed from a sophisticated Concept of Intrinsic Value of Space. It combines the visual and emotional relationship in a Color Strategy. 

The focus is ABSTRACT ART is perhaps the most pure visual art form. It integrates the spatial aspects to promote depth and perspective and proportionalism. 

He has advanced art theory – Intrinsic Value 1982, Voids 2011, Free-Edge 2011, Techno Impressionism 2013, Fractures 2016, Transitions 2017, Artist axioms 2019 and several others. These are specific concepts in art directions to advance compositional strategies and understanding in the arts. 

He investigates ideas related to Man’s Impact on Nature. In addition, this effort expands artistic applications and new artistic endeavors. He is pushing the boundaries of Contemporary Art.

Artworks

The artworks are created from new style TECHNO-IMPRESSIONISM by Keener. This is a method from concept to application that incorporates both hand and digital technologies for 21st century Significance of Art. The focus is color developments. The developments are multi-media approach to combine various concepts and techniques. The composition may be a process of first and second generation developments. The composition is an image that integrates COLOR FIELDS from Abstract Expressionism and STRUCTURED FORMS from Hard Edge Abstractions. The category is INTEGRATED PAINTINGS. The artworks are integrated paintings or Mixed Media using latex mediums, encausto, pigments, acrylics by hand techniques combined with Digital developments. This is NOT traditional easel painting. This is advancing the horizon of VISUAL ARTS. The final product is on canvas for mounting on stretcher bars or printed with Latex inks or free-edge layouts installed on substrates. The finished artworks may be integrated from various materials, techniques and applications. The results is the COLOR ADVANCEMENT to create a new art image and form.
