Minor behaviors are considered a behavior that could be dealt with by a teacher or other staff member without calling for assistance from an administrator.
Examples include but are not limited too:
dishonesty
misuse of technology
inappropriate use of and/or language
minor disruptions
Verbal Warnings: The teacher would take the student aside and explain to them first why they pulled the aside and explain why the behavior is wrong. This is usually only done a few times before other actions need to take place.
Written Warnings: Instead of pulling the student aside, the teacher can write up a written warning that can be given to the student or sent home. No actions will be taken, but more of a "head up" or "this is what's going on".
Take the student away from the situation: In the case of misuse of technology, you can give the student a verbal warning, or completely have them be done with what they are doing.
