Course Learning Outcomes the assessment is aligned with:
(CLO) 1.0 - By the end of this course, learners will be able to explain how key features of Hatch Insights™ digital platform can support targeted small group instruction in their classroom.
Module/lesson learning objective(s) the assessment is aligned with:
(MLO) 1.1 - Identify what Hatch Insights™ is and ways that it can support classroom instruction.
(MLO) 1.2. - Describe ways that Hatch Insights™ can specifically support small group instruction.
Brief description of the learning materials and activities the learner will interact with as part of the module:
Learners will read the online article "Insights by Hatch™: Empower Educators with Data-Driven Excellence" to gain an overview of the Hatch Insights™ digital platform.
A matching exercise where learners will match four key features of Hatch Insights™ to their descriptions.
Learners will view an externally-linked district-created informational slide-deck entitled "Hatch Insights™: Instructional tips on how to jumpstart student progress" (accessible text version included). This presentation gives an overview of the general steps involved in using Hatch Insights™ curricular experiences.
A reflection exercise where learners will identify three features of Hatch Insights™ and give an example of how this feature can support small-group instruction in their classrooms.
A peer evaluation activity linked to the reflection exercise, where learners will work in pairs to evaluate their partner's response to the reflection exercise using a given rubric.

In creating this survey, I used the reading resources I provided my learners in Module 01 as basis in crafting items for the assessment. I also made sure that the items captured the Module Learning Objectives targeted under (CLO) 1.0. (see Items from IDD section above for a description). I familiarized myself with capabilities and constraints of quiz creation on the free Canvas LMS for Teachers. Along the way, I realized that unfortunately, feedback cannot be provided immediately after the learner responds to each item, as I would have liked. The learners would have to wait until after submitting the entire quiz in order to receive specific feedback for each item in the quiz. Regardless, the information on learner performance gathered from this assessment, such as common errors and misconceptions, will give me insight on how to improve the course material or delivery in future iterations. I hope to further improve the survey itself to enable it to capture the user's knowledge of how to apply the features of Hatch Insights to their own teaching scenarios.
