Have you every wondered what your teachers think you're saying when you use slang? Here's a list of 5 slang terms we use everyday and also what our teachers think the words mean...
sksksksksksksksksksksksksk: A variation of “hahahahahaha” primarily used on social media.
Mrs. Nik: “It’s sickening.”
Upsetti Spaghetti / Depresso Espresso: Upset or down about something.
Mr. O’Brien: “Upsetti Spaghetti is the gigantic pasta meal that you have when you are depressed and want to eat your feelings away. Carbs cure everything! Depresso Espresso has two different definitions... 1) The name for the last few drops of espresso you have in your cup before you run out. 2) A spell in Harry Potter that turns your coffee/espresso into a sedative or tranquilizer.”
UWU: A text face, relaxed happiness. It also stands for “Unhappy Without U.”
Ms. Shaffer: “Is it a way of saying 'ew'?”
VSCO Girls: A stereotype of females on the social media photo app VSCO; usually said to wear puka shell necklaces, oversized hoodies, and always have scrunchies with them along with their hydro flasks.
Ms. Shaffer: “A doll or something, maybe like grunge.”
And I Oop: A phrase that VSCO girls use when they make a mistake.
Mrs. Nik: “In an airheady voice, ‘I made a mistake.'"
