After examining student attire for the past couple months and lots of hard hitting research, I’ve compiled a list of fashion trends often seen around our school. Here is what’s trending at CenCam this year...
- Crop tops: A shirt that does about half of its job. Crop tops are just that: “cropped” to reveal the stomach.
- Ripped jeans: Ripped jeans have tears or rips in them often on the knees, but possibly in other locations too if you’re feeling extra rebellious.
- Jean skirts:- Like jeans, denim skirts vary in shades of blue, ranging from very pale to very dark, or occasionally in other colors. You can feel the class of wearing a skirt but the sass of wearing jeans all at the same time!
- Vans: A type of shoe that is more stylish than a sneaker but not nearly as comfortable.
- Crocs: Originally a boating shoe but also worn as a comfortable slip on. Don’t forget to kick it into sports mode if you’re in a hurry!
- Scrunchies: A resurrection from the 80’s! Scrunchies are types of hair ties that are made of bundled up cloth
- NASA shirts: A form of merchandise using NASA’s brand. Now you don’t even need to go to the moon to look out of this world!
- Jorts: Jorts are short for “jean shorts.” Saying the name is half the fun of wearing them.
- Birkenstocks: A German sandal that comfortably fits to your foot.
- High buns: A very messy hair style. This “effortless” look ironically requires a great deal of effort.
- Acrylic Nails: This is acrylic that goes on your nails to make designs and add length/shape. These also make for great back scratchers!
- Mom Jeans: Another resurrection from the 80’s! “Mom Jeans” are high rise jeans that are making quite the comeback.
