The Biotechnology Program

City College of San Francisco

The Biotechnology Program of the Department of Engineering and Technology at City College of San Francisco trains a diverse group of students for careers as technicians and lab assistants at companies and academic institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Program offers hands-on classes in techniques such as PCR, ELISA, Western blot, cell culture, stem cell culture, protein purification, and recombinant DNA cloning. Two internship programs provide oportunities to gain experience in the biotechnology industry.
