After earning my bachelor’s degree in biology from UC Santa Barbara, I was eager to gain more lab experience and found my way to the City College of San Francisco Biotechnology program. At CCSF, I studied mammalian cell culture, stem cell technology and molecular biotechnology and had the opportunity to be a part of the CIRM Bridges to Stem Cell Research and Therapy Program. Through this program, I interned at Vitalant Research Institute in the Muench Lab, where I studied hematopoiesis and ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem cells. I hope to continue my journey in biotechnology and contribute to the development of stem cell therapies.
